BID - Illuminated Crosswalk Replacement

Summary

The City of Los Altos, Santa Clara County, California, invites sealed bids for furnishing labor, material and equipment required to complete the project in the particular locations, of the forms, sizes and dimensions and of the materials and to the lines and grades and at the elevations as shown and delineated upon the plans and specifications made therefore.

The project includes but is not limited to the replacement of In-Road Warning Lights (IRWL) system at the following raised crosswalk intersections: Almond Ave/ Almond Elementary, S. Springer Ave/ Rose Ave, and Grant Rd/ Morton Ave.

The range for the Engineer's Estimate is $250,000 to $275,000.

Are you desiring to have the existing in-road warning lights replaced with a current, more reliable in-road system?
Yes. The current system is non-functioning. This bid is to remove and replace the existing solar powered system with a hard-wired system. The City highly recommends a field visit to the site(s) before bidding.
