BID - CITY HALL ROOF REPLACEMENT

Summary

The City of Los Altos, Santa Clara County, California, invites sealed proposals or bids for furnishing labor, material and equipment required to complete the project in the particular location, of the forms, sizes and dimensions and of the materials shown in the specifications made therefore.

The project generally includes remove and replace the roof with ventilation system on the City Hall building in Los Altos on 1 N. San Antonio Road.  The existing wood shake roof is approximately 16,500 square feet. The roof slope is roughly 1:4 and is only accessible via ladder.

The range for the Engineer's Estimate is $30,000 to $70,000.

A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 1 North San Antonio Road, Los Altos for this project.  Prospective bidders are directed to Section 2-1.03 of the Standard Specifications regarding examination of the site of work.

There are no construction drawings for this project.
Bid is asking for 10% Bid Bond. Do you happen to have your own Bid Bond form or should Surety use one of their own?
City does not have a template of bid bond in the project specifications. A bid bond issued by the bond company is acceptable.
Do you want the bid for the shake roof to be a class A fire rated system?
Yes. For more details, please refer to Project Specifications, Technical Provision, Pg TP-6, section 2.2.02 Sheet Materials.
