Roadway Median & Shoulder Landscape Maintenance

Summary

The city of Los Altos invites sealed bids to provide median & shoulder landscape maintenance services within the city of Los Altos as outlined and delineated in the scope of services. The services to be performed under this contract shall consist of providing: all labor, material, equipment, and other services necessary for the complete and programmed maintenance of landscape areas on designated locations.

Bids will be presented to and considered by the City Council at a regularly scheduled meeting. The City shall award the contract for maintenance services to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder on the basis of the TOTAL BASE BID.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 25, 2024, and will be held at the Municipal Services Center located at 707 Fremont Avenue, Los Altos, CA 94024.

Questions for this Bid/RFP

The proposed start date of the contract is October 1, 2024.
The controllers at these sites are Rain Master controls.
There are 17 Rain Master controls in the areas of responsibility for this contract.
1. No. Fertilizer is needed only when new tree/plant material has been planted. The existing plants and shrubs are established. 2. It is estimated that 5 - 10 trees, in the areas listed, are planted a year. Gator bags can be used. 3. Erosion control is used anytime, and practiced to prevent and protect land and water resources.
