Summary

The City of Los Altos, Santa Clara County, California, invites sealed bids for furnishing labor, material and equipment required to complete the project in the particular locations, of the forms, sizes and dimensions and of the materials and to the lines and grades and at the elevations as shown and delineated upon the plans and specifications made therefore.

The project includes upgrades to the existing building HVAC system including related demolition, electrical and structural work.

The range for the Engineer's Estimate is $505,000 to $555,000.

Questions for this Bid/RFP

The following are some questions regarding the application of temporary equipment: (1) Does the City have a proposed plan for the temporary heating and cooling or is the expectation for the contractor to propose a plan? (2) Are spot coolers an acceptable means of providing climate control in the facility for the duration of the project? (3) If the answer to question 1 is yes, will you provide a list of spaces requiring cooling and heating so that we can develop an estimate for the equipment required?
